Get to Know Alocasia!

This tropical plant from the South Pacific Islands with its arrow-head shaped leaves and tall stems is definitely an eye-catcher! Alocasia plants are a stunning statement, especially because they can grow to 8-10 feet. They can be a little difficult which is why they are great for an intermediate plant owner or expert.

Water your Alocasia when the top 25%-50% of the soil is dry. Make sure to discard remaining water to avoid root rot.

Your Alocasia will thrive in a warm spot with bright, indirect, filtered light. Protect it from the sun since direct sunlight is going to burn the leaves.

Alocasias are mildly toxic to pets and humans. Typically, ingestion will cause mouth and stomach irritation and possible vomiting.
