Get to Know Raindrop Peperomia!

Highlights

It sports large (for a peperomia) heart- or teardrop-shaped leaves with a glossy sheen.

Watering

Water your Peperomia when 50%-75% of the soil volume is dry. Water until liquid flows through the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot and discard any water that has accumulated in the saucer. The semi-succulent leaves and stems mean this plant is very forgiving of a missed watering.

Sunlight

Your Peperomia prefers bright indirect light. It can adapt to medium and low light, but growth may slow. Keep out of direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.

Pet-Friendly?

Yes! Your Peperomia is non-toxic to pets and humans.

Sad Plant (is your plant dying?)

LIMP AND DROOPING: If your peperomia is limp it is likely due to it being dry and being underwatered. Peperomias don’t like to be kept consistently moist, but be sure you’re not underwatering your plant. Keep a consistent watering schedule–water when the top 2”-3” of the soil are dry.

YELLOW LEAVES: The number one cause of yellowing leaves among Peperomias is overwatering. Only water when the top 50-75% of the soil is dry. Water until water flows freely from the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot.
